Octonuats Toys Have Arrived!

My 4 year old son (like many other preschoolers) is crazy about octonauts. They are a range of octonuats toys, books, jigsaw puzzles and DVDs which is long awaited as there has been a demand for them for a while now. Read on for what's available

Octopod Playset

The Octonauts playset featured first on the left includes 2 figures (Kwazii & Barnacles), 3 Sea Creatures, 4 rescue tools (stretcher, net, barrel & anchor)and Mini Gup-A Sub. You can press the OctoAlert for sounds and phrases and the playset rotates 360 degrees. Gup A lanches from the base of the Octopod.

My nephew has this set and loves it - he is another huge Octonauts fan.

Octonauts Game

My 4 year old loves playing games. The simple ones are the best at this age and matching games of pairs is great for developing memory and concentration skills. Plus they learn to take turns and develop other social skills.

My son has lots of matching games like the Octonauts game featured opposite. It's really easy to play. You just place all the cards face down on the floor. Each player takes it in turns to turn two cards face up and the object is to find two cards the same to make a pair.
You put any pairs you find to one side and the one who has the most pairs at the end of the game is the winner.

You can adapt the games to the age of the children you have playing. Just use fewer cards for younger players.

Octonauts Figures

I've noticed with my own kids, nephews and nieces that at around age 4 a lot of kids suddenly have a real interest in playing with figures. Their imagination starts to run riot and they make up all kinds of stories and games that they play with them.

If you know an Octonauts fan like that you can't go wrong by getting them all the Octonauts figures as a toy to play with.
The set featured has all the figures including Captain Barnacles, Kwasi,Peso, Dashi
Shellington, Tweak, Professor Inkling and Turnip.

Octonauts Jigsaw Puzzles

My year old son currently loves doing jigsaw puzzles and would love the Octonauts puzzles opposite.

The 3 in a box jisgaw puzzle contains 4 jisgaw puzzles of different sizes (12 pieces, 16 pieces, 20 and 44 pieces). This is great to encourage your 4 year old to gain confidence in completing jigsaw puzzles. Start with the smaller piece puzzle and work your way up.

Octonauts Books

There are lots of Octonauts books including story books and activity books like the sticker book featured.

My 4 year old currently loves doing stickers so he would love this.

There's over 50 stickers so would make a great activity for a rainy afternoon.
